Punching and Laser Cutting

 

Apex offers a combination of punching and laser cutting machines. On each job, we utilize the machine that will best fulfill the customer’s requirements without incurring unnecessary costs. This flexibility allows us to better serve our customers.

 

All of our machines use the latest technology to minimize tooling costs and save set up time. Reduced idle equipment time allows us to lower our turnaround time for producing your quick turn prototypes.

 

We specialize in fabricating light to medium gauge steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. We punch and/or cut materials up to one-half inch (cold rolled steel), three-eights inch (stainless steel) and one-quarter inch (aluminum). Our equipment routinely can hold tolerances of .005 hole to hole. In many cases, the accuracy of our machines allows us to do better.

 

Bending and Forming

 

Our press brake department features a 2005 Amada HDS 1303 NT 10 foot, 143 ton, hydraulic press brake. As with our other equipment, this machine is designed for quick set up and changeover between jobs. Its 128 inch bed allows us to build larger cabinetry and similar items than in the past. In addition, we have four smaller press brakes.

 

Hardware and Welding

 

Apex has several automated Haeger hardware insertion presses in place. This excellent equipment and our skilled operators enable Apex to meet the most stringent needs of our most demanding customers. With our increased emphasis on enclosures and complex assemblies, hardware insertion has become a critical part of the production process.

Apex performs high quality MIG, TIG and Spot Welding using sophisticated equipment.
